Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament is bestowed upon those who are seriously ill or suffering, which then unites the inflicted with Christ’s passion.

Anointing the forehead and hands with chrism and a special blessing said by the priest, connects the mind and body with God.

Is anyone among you sick?  Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
